Asia Book Registry (ABR) is an open-access international platform dedicated to registering, indexing, and digitalizing scholarly books — including monographs, edited volumes, and academic textbooks — published across Indonesia and Asia. The platform functions as a centralized registry that collects and preserves comprehensive bibliographic metadata for each registered title, covering ISBN information, author and editor profiles, publication details, subject classifications, and abstracts in line with international standards.
A significant proportion of scholarly books produced in Indonesia and across the Asian region remain in print-only form, limiting their discoverability, citability, and impact in the global academic conversation. ABR was established to close this gap. By building structured digital records for each registered title and integrating with major academic indexing systems — including Google Scholar, CrossRef, and BASE — we help authors and publishers bring their print scholarship into the digital era, ensuring that their work can be found, referenced, and cited by researchers worldwide.
Why Asia Book Registry Exists
Thousands of high-quality academic books are published each year in Indonesia and across Asia — representing years of original research, fieldwork, and scholarship. Yet the majority of these works are published only in print, distributed locally, and remain virtually invisible to the global research community simply because they lack a digital presence.
Without an online record, books cannot be cited in reference management tools, do not appear in Google Scholar searches, are excluded from international bibliometric analyses, and miss out on measurable academic impact. Asia Book Registry exists to change this. We create structured digital records for registered books so that important scholarship from this region receives the recognition, citation, and global impact it deserves.

Scope & Coverage
Asia Book Registry accepts registrations for all scholarly and academic books published in Indonesia and across the Asian region, spanning all academic disciplines. Both single-author monographs and multi-author edited volumes are eligible. All book types listed below with a valid ISBN are welcome to apply for registration.
Registration Prerequisites
All books submitted for registration must meet the following minimum requirements. Submissions not meeting these criteria will be returned to the submitting author or publisher for revision prior to reconsideration.
